Professor Dr. K.G Vidyasagaran hails from a family of traditional Ayurvedic legacy at Thrishivaperoor, the cultural capital of Kerala. He began his career at Govt. Ayurveda College, Thiruvananthapuram. Meanwhile joined as a tutor at prestigious institute Vaidyaratnam P.S. Varier Ayurveda college, Kottakkal and retired as professor in 2007. He has worked as consultant physician, professor and principal at many other reputed institutes. During his career as an academician he showed profundity in clinical practice with Ayurveda and ancestral practical knowledge from his own tradition. His major contribution to clinical practice includes the postulation of successful treatment protocol for chronic immune thrombocytopenic purpura. He is a successful clinical practitioner in various blood related diseases, RA, SLE, IBS, joint diseases, degenerative diseases, psoriasis etc. He has written and published many scientific articles on various branches of Ayurveda. He has presented research papers on chronic ITP, clinical experience in oncology and toxic minerals in various National and International seminars held at prestigious institutes like Smt. SC Metha Hematology Dept. BSES MG hospital, Mumbai, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi (UP) etc.
